The last Zeeland costumes recorded

Last Sunday, we completed a special moment:
the last Zeeland costumes have been photographed.

After a period of preparation, waiting, and planning, everything came together this time. Whereas last year, due to bad weather, rain, and strong winds, it wasn't always possible to achieve the right image, the weather cooperated now. Calm, light, and space, precisely what is needed to work carefully.

That makes us grateful and happy. Not only because the conditions were good, but primarily because these images represent the completion of an intensive and attentive process.

Respect for heritage, room for innovation

As with all our projects, we work from the original Zeeland traditional costume. We make copies of the original costumes, with form and meaning remaining paramount. The interventions we make are exclusively in fabric and color combinations.

This creates a new layer: not a replacement of tradition, but a contemporary jacket in which the heritage remains recognizable. With respect for what was, and with attention to how it can speak today.

With this latest series, an important step has been taken. The images will now have time to find their place, as part of a larger whole where Zeeland heritage, craftsmanship, and photography come together.

To be continued.

Love, Ana
